Founder & Practice

Lighthouse Legal is a founder-led practice built on the belief that legal counsel should be both technically rigorous and commercially aware.

The practice is led by Sairekha Sureshkumar, Founder & Principal Counsel, who brings nearly two decades of experience advising across corporate transactions, employment law, workplace risk, and governance matters. Her work spans early-stage ventures, established corporates, leadership teams, and professionals navigating complex legal and organisational transitions.

Sairekha began her career at leading law firms including ELP, AZB & Partners, JSA, and Desai & Diwanji, where she advised on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, infrastructure projects, and cross-border commercial arrangements. Over time, her practice expanded to include employment strategy, workplace investigations, and risk advisory for high-growth and service-led businesses.

She currently advises founders, general counsel, and senior leadership on structuring, compliance, workforce risk, and dispute strategy, combining big-firm technical training with the responsiveness and discretion of a boutique practice. Her work often involves acting as a strategic legal partner to businesses through phases of growth, restructuring, and organisational change.

Joshi

Vedika is a legal professional dedicated to empowering clients through precision-led legal solutions. With 7+ years of post-qualification experience in contract lifecycle management, intellectual property laws and regulatory compliance, she has become a trusted advisor for entities navigating the intersection of law and technology.

Having worked closely with Indian start-ups within the e-commerce landscape, Vedika possesses an intuitive understanding of the agility required by young enterprises. She excels at harmonizing Consumer Protection and Tech Law with business objectives, ensuring her clients remain compliant without sacrificing momentum. Her approach is defined by a commitment to ‘Preventative Lawyering’—identifying risks before they become liabilities.

Vedika brings with her a multi-dimensional, cross-functional perspective shaped by her experience in both top-tier law firms and high-growth corporate environments.
She has navigated complex legal and business landscapes through her roles in-house at Nykaa, the beauty and fashion giant, and most recently, at Hyugalife, a health and wellness startup backed by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia India). She has also worked at Crawford Bayley & Co., a premier multi-specialty law firm in India.
Beyond her professional practice, Vedika is an avid reader and an aspiring pianist.
